I Love Gallery Walls

Oh how I love gallery walls. So pretty, casual and eclectic. I especially love when they aren’t perfect… the use of mismatched frames, mixed media and when things are just a little bit tipsy. To me, that’s what makes them perfectly imperfect!

We have a gallery wall above the blue love seat in our family room. (Pottery Barn Craiglsist find, ahem) The centerpiece for our gallery wall, is an antique window frame with whitewashed paint and my son’s watercolor paintings attached behind each glass window. We have lots of red and blue accents in the room, so those colors in Jackson’s paintings are really very pretty.

I also love how the black frames pop against our khaki colored walls and tie the black end tables and lamps together. It really helps ground the room. And the mixed media… makes it all so much more interesting. You can see more of Jackson’s art work, a mirror and some of our favorite quotes.

Here are a few more gallery walls that make me swoon:

Aren’t they lovely? Love the display and organization of kids’ art work. A beautiful way to honor the creativity of children.

So pretty. A great way to show kids how special their art work really is. Love it.
